Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard Sauce

For the Tenders

  • 2 tsp onion powder

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

  • 2 egg

  • 1 Tbs. yellow mustard

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken, cut into 1” strips

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

  • 1/4 cup cornstarch

  • 2 cups neutral oil

For the Honey Mustard Sauce

  • 3 Tbs honey

  • 1/4 cup  mayonnaise

  • 2 Tbs  Dijon mustard

  • 2 Tbs yellow mustard 

  • 1 tsp  apple cider ving


In a medium bowl mix together the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, eggs, and mustard. Add chicken and let marinate for 20 minutes.

In a large shallow bowl, toss together flour, cornstarch, and a large pinch of salt.

Working with one piece of chicken at a time, dip the chicken into the flour mixture making sure to coat all side. Repeat with remaining chicken.

Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan until it reaches 325°F on a thermometer and fry chicken for 8 - 10 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown. Let cool

Make the honey mustard by combining the honey, mustard, yellow mustard, and apple cider vinegar.

Serve the chicken tenders with a side of honey mustard (and roasted green beans too).
