Morning Glory Muffins

Right before baby Olivia was born I made a batch of these muffins and they have been a lifesaver for breakfast. I froze them individually and then microwave one for breakfast each morning. I love how in 30 seconds I can have breakfast so I can turn my attention to a hungry baby. They are full of flavor as well as carrots and zucchini to make them a little healthier.

Strawberry Shortcake

To me, strawberry shortcake screams summertime. Like so many people I grew up eating strawberry shortcake - we even used to pick our own strawberries way back when.

We never made it by scratch but would instead buy shortcake cups from the grocery store (anyone remember those? They tasted like cardboard but we still ate them) then topped them with fresh strawberries and some Reddi whip. This recipe takes that version of strawberry shortcake up a notch but it is still super tasty and nostalgic.

Homemade Soft Pretzels

I get asked all the time how I resist all the food that I make; the truth is I taste everything but try my hardest not to eat it all. I also never recipe test on an empty stomach because that is just asking for trouble. I can usually resist most sweet baked goods, plus I actually send them immediately to my husband's office to give it to the neighbors - it if it is in front of me, I will eat it.
